The Geometries of LOVE-series statement below
The Geometries of LOVE is an ongoing photographic exploration of eroticism, form, and emotional truth. Entirely made from my own photographs, the series is rooted in the long tradition of the nude—charged, intimate, and unapologetically sensual. The subjects, often lovers or partners, are captured in states of erotic and emotional vulnerability. These are not staged fantasies or cold aesthetics of control; they are invitations to witness tenderness, tension, and raw desire. What gives the series its formal distinction is the use of geometric overlays—circles, triangles, lines—that interrupt and intensify the erotic content. These geometries function as a kind of syntax or scaffolding, both framing and fracturing the gaze. They veil and reveal, conceal and expose, creating tension between precision and flesh, intellect and impulse. The newest works in the series evolve this language further. Rather than overt graphical overlays, these images use double exposure as a structural device—layering bodies, gestures, and environments into a single frame. The result is a visceral kind of geometry: a spatial mapping of touch, posture, and dominance. These visual collisions echo the architecture of intimacy—how bodies imprint upon one another, how memory and arousal cohabit the same psychic and visual space. Erotic art, from ancient sculpture to Renaissance painting, from Japanese shunga to contemporary photography, has always contended with the duality of desire: the urge to look and the fear of being seen. The Geometries of LOVE operates in that space. It is not pornography; it is not fashion; it is not irony. It is about the formal structure of longing—how bodies fold into shapes, how erotic energy moves through space, and how intimacy can be drawn. This project is deeply personal, but its forms are universal. It is a body of work where composition is as charged as content, where sex becomes structure, and where geometry is not abstraction but evidence—of connection, of craving, of love made visible.
